The new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is J is for Jumble. We want you to make us a collage. Get creative, stick some old stash together and see what you can do. I love typography and vintage photos and was inspired by Pinterest. Well, who isn't inspired by Pinterest? If you want to see my inspiration board, click here. I love all the images I pinned, but the colors were a bit blah for me.
I started with the strips of old books that I picked up at various flohmarkt (flea markets) while I was living in Germany. There are strips of French and German text, but I think I can only see the French in the final piece. After I had the strips, I coated them with Multi Media Matte. Once dry, I applied watered down gesso. I used both Golden Fluid Acrylics and Ken Olliver's powdered watercolors. The lady and globe were found while searching through the creative commons sites. So, who rules the world? Girls! True story. And also the true story of this collage.
I know that you want to play along with this challenge! You have 15 September at 2355 EST (11:55 p.m.) to enter our J is for Jumble challenge. Please stop by the Sisterhood to see what our current Queen of Snark, Toni, and the Sisters have made for your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my project.
