Drunken Stampers 146

Here it is!  Drunken Stampers Challenge 146!

The Tropical Hooters team brings you wood!  Use any wood element or woodgrain on your project this week.

On my card I used a woodgrain embossing folder.

I embossed the kraft paper with the wood texture folder, then painted it with Picket Fence crackle paint.    The flowers are Prima, the ribbons are from my stash, but the beautiful butterfly comes from Reneabouquets Etsy shop.

Drunken Stampers Carnival Challenge

I decided to link up in the Yellow Canary's "Carnival" challenge 145 at Drunken Stampers.  Mostly my goal is to make someone have coffee come out their nose.  I swear I am not poking fun at women with hirsutism.  I am poking fun at Wal-Mart.

 Here is the Fun Flock!

Simple Sketches #6

Melissa did it again, designing a beautiful sketch for the Simple Sketches team.  I can't tell you how much I look forward to see what designs she assigns us on the DT.

On my LO, I chose to use one long photo of my mists and then added layers to the side instead of a row of photos.

I know the title is crooked. I have a slight problem with placing letters, and these were stuck down good, so I had to leave them.  I did try fixing them with Photoshop, but it didn't work.

Check out the Simple Sketches page to see what my fellow DT members came up with week.

Drunken Stampers Go Out of This World

This week at Drunken Stampers, we are going on a long journey.  We are going to outer space!
Your Drunken mission, if you choose to accept it:

Create a project with Neil Armstrong!  Use outer space or an astronaut.
I don't have any Neil Armstrong crafty supplies, but I do have this one space stamp set.

I created the background using purple, green and silver gelatos on black paper. I colored the paper with the gelato sticks and then took a wet paintbrush to blend the colors and let the black show through.  Using a speckled stamp, I used silver embossing powder to make the background look like it had stars or space dust.

The images were stamped separately on white card stock.  I used Distress markers, acrylic paint, and gel pens on the images.

I created the inside of the card on the computer, then stamped for extra fun.  I will be using this card for my nephew.  I hope he likes astronauts!

I included this photo so my background could be seen better.

You have until next Saturday to complete your mission!

Boy Meets Girl, Boy Goes Boom!

About a Boy and About a Girl have merged and we are now Boy Meets Girl!  You can now share your boy layouts where you share your girl layouts!  But make sure you are entering the proper LO for the challenge.    ;)

Here is my first LO for Boy Meets Girl.  This LO challenge is to make a grungy or messy LO.  I call this my comic book grunge style.  My son picked this replica grenade as a souvenir from the U.S.S. Yorktown museum on our vaction to South Carolina this summer.  He really enjoyed posing for this photo.  It's about time he cooperated!

You have until October 15th to enter this challenge.
