Art Journal Travel Box

February's Dylusions Facebook Challenge was to use ORANGE and ARROWS.  Orange isn't my favorite color, so I combined it with Bubble Gum Pink and Lemon Zest Yellow.  I don't remember where the box came from; it has been in my stash for two years or more.

Now I have a box to take to Art Chat Breakfasts! I wrote some instructions if you want to see!

It Moose be Easter Time

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a fantastic week!  Now that I am making cards for Tuesday Morning Sketches  the week is going by quickly!

It's Tuesday and it's time for Sketch #340, designed by Jessi. This week our challenge is sponsored by  Digital Delights by Louby Loo!  I was able to use the digi stamp Easter Egg Molly.

Molly is a Moose and it makes me wonder what kind of egg she is holding.  Dinosaur? Dragon? Giant Ostrich?

Jokes aside, Molly was colored with Copic markers and the "Happy Easter"  and scalloped frame were cut on my Silhouette. The PP are from an old Prima stack.

If you would like to play along in this challenge, you have until the end of Sunday, February 28.Thanks for stopping by and looking. Please also visit my Design Teammates!

Almost Everything

Edna says it is time to mix things up.  The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers presents you with Challenge # 53 M is for Mixed Media.

It took me forever to get my challenge piece done.  I kept starting things and tossing them away, unhappy with my results.  Then I decided to try altering a playing card.  I didn't have a plan, I was going to keep adding bits until it was ready for the trash or until I liked what I had made.

I have used gesso, Tim Holtz tissue paper, acrylic paint, modeling paste. stamping ink, gelato, crackle medium, and micro-beads.  I was afraid to apply anything else because I thought everything might crack off my card.

The vintage image and saying came from Lisa's Altered Art on Etsy.

Wanna play along and join the Sisterhood?? Of course you do... here are the deets you need to know:

You have until 11:55 pm EST on Friday March 4 to upload your project.

Visit the blogs of our Guest Designer and the Snarky Sisters to show them some crafty loving! You could be our next Queen of Snark and Guest Designer!

Life is Tweet at Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello!  I hope everyone had a great week! Now it is Tuesday morning again and we have a new sketch to follow at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

This week our challenge is sponsored by Sami Stamps.  I was able to use this cute bird digital stamp, Valentine Rose Feathers.

I used all of the elements in the sketch, but I turned the rectangle and the circle into a bird house.  My card did turn into a square shape.  Valentine Rose Feathers was colored with Copic markers.

This challenge will be open through Sunday, February 21.  Please visit the other members of this great design team!  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I am entering my card into:
The ABC Challenge: B is for ...bird, blue bird house

I'm New at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

I have some news to share today.  I have become a member of the Tuesday Morning Sketches design team! Every Tuesday (just as the name implies) a new sketch is released. You can enter your creation for a chance at a prize (most weeks).  Please go to the Tuesday Morning Sketches page for more information, rules and to meet the owner,  Melissa, and the other design team members.

Sketch #338
This week we have Sketch #338 by Melissa.  Below is my card based on the sketch.

My card is pretty simple.  I used black and white card stock, Dylusions paint and stencil, as well as Tim Holtz stencil, stamp, and die. The poorly painted star on the black strip was done on purpose to go with my sentiment.

This challenge will be open through Sunday, February 14.  Please visit the other members of this great design team!  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Kisses for Ewe

Who loves Valentine's Day? We have a challenge for you at the Snarky Sisterhood! Who hates Valentine's Day? We have a challenge for you also!  Our current challenge: K is for Kiss may be interpreted as "Kiss me," or "Kiss my a$$." Or you can make a Valentine if that's your thing.

I was stuck on this challenge.  I didn't have anything in mind, and I was looking online for inspiration.  I ran into a Valentine card that read, "You can kiss me anytime." What a great sentiment, I thought!  But since I am a Snarky Sister I had to change the "you" to "ewe."

My next problem was that I did not have a sheep stamp. So then I started drawing sheep.  I had my sketches down to two and I consulted my husband.  When I showed him the sketches I asked, "Which sheep would you rather kiss."  And you see his answer on my card.  I colored her with Copic markers and the sentiment is "Green Tea Latte" font.

Please visit my Snarky Sisters and our current Queen of Snark, Dotty Jo, and see what they have made for our Kiss challenge. You have until 11:55 p.m. EST on Friday, February 19 to join our challenge. Show us what you want us to kiss!

P.S. (post sheep)

I thought I would share my ewe with you during this challenge.  She isn't much, but you can use her.
