Red Velvet Cake at The Paper Mixing Bowl

This month's recipe at the Paper Mixing Bowl sure is yummy.  Red Velvet Cake!

I believe that I met my requirements for this recipe.  I used the colors Red Velvet, Rich Cream, and Steeped Tea.

This LO is definatly layered!  I used stamped muslin, the Red Velvet paper, matted photos, and finished off with the swirly Dusty Attic chipboard.

For the frosting, I used Art Athology's Chocolate Sorbet and a Prima Mask.  The chipboard is also painted with Art Anthology sorbets.

My postage related item are stamps. I tea dyed the muslin for the "spill something" requirement and I also used a splatter stamp on the LO.  Hearts and flowers are present.  My LO is contains more than one photo.

As for the pairs, I even made a pair of pears!  In the optional journaling requirement, it said to use a children's Valentine.  I made my own with the pears and it said "Together we make a perfect pair."  Yup, I'm just that dorky.  Thanks for stopping by!

"13" 3rd Eye Challenge!

I have not been playing much lately.  It's been work, work, work. Going to school, earning clinical hours and the two design teams that I have been on have been filling my time.  I wanted to do the challenge at my favorite stamp site!

The rule for the submission was to: make LO, card or other project using "13" as a number or use 13 things. For example You can make album with 13 photos, card with 13 flowers etc.  I used a canvas board and included 13 keys.  I used the 3rd Eye stamps "Olivia" and "keyhole."

Thanks for looking!

Punky Scraps Challenge #60

Challenge  #60 is ready to go at Punky Scraps.  Nat provided us with two gorgeous options to use for this months challenge.  There was a neat and clean image:

And there was a flowing, arty image:

I chose to follow the flowing, arty image.  However, I missed the instructions:

It's the month of love so let's go with it this year......pink, flowers and butterflies with a vintage twinge.

Okay, I used the arty sketch and didn't go pink and girly. Our fellas need love, too! I used the arty inspiration picture, which gives my LO its form. I loved that snake looking thing wrapped around the woman's figure and it inspired me to use the springy wire on this page. And gears and sprockets are like butterflies to boys, right?
