The Art of Art-i-ness

The Sisterhood is getting arty and wants to see your arty techniques. Do you like splatters? Layers? Texture?

In my stash I found I had a Gelli printed piece of paper.  I cut the paper into 4 (not equal because that would require measuring)pieces.  I added some stamping, then another layer of white Gelli printing with a stencil, followed with some black spatters. The papers seemed to plain, so I added a contrasting lime green paint for liveliness. I took out my rapidly aging sewing machine (the bobbin winder quit working two years ago) to stitch a border around each card; then I added sentiments and Tim Holtz's Found Relatives. Viola! Art themed cards with kids.

You have until 11:55 PM EST on Friday July 7 to upload your ARTY project HERE. Please visit our current Queen of Snark, Queen Toni, and my fellow Snarky Sisters to see what inspiration we have made for you. Thanks for stopping by and having a peek at my blog.

I'm Not Drunk. Yet

I haven't gotten anything made for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers lately. I have been on quite the bender! However I managed to sober up long enough to create a card for a challenge that is close to my heart. Welcome to Challenge #86: D is for Drunk!

Here is my project that I sobered up to make. The image of the not so happy lady I bought from Lisa's Altered Art on Etsy. That little shop has a bunch of fun vintage images for sale. The sentiment stamp is from Riley and Co.

If you would like to join in the drunken revelry, you have until 11:55 PM EST on Friday, June 23rd to upload your project on the Sisterhood's challenge post. Please visit our reigning Queen of Snark, Emily, and my fellow Snarky Sisters to see what that managed to pull themselves together and make for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by, and CHEERS! Now where did I sit my gin and tonic?
