Day 23 of 31 Days of Halloween

I'm back!  I apologize for not having something prepared for you yesterday.  I had to stop and go to the grocery store so I could prepare homemade meatballs and spaghetti.  The minions still require feeding.

I finished coloring and cutting out the girl and then had nothing to put her on.  This morning I prepared her journal page.  My black journal is getting filled up with fun Halloween images, which is pretty awesome!

I used Copics on the skin, outfit, eyes, and boots (someday I will take that Copic class).  The hair was colored with Distress Markers (which are starting to dry out on the fine side and are only a year old, grrr). This image is a Lucy Loo from The East Wind.  Lucy Loo wears some great outfits!

The sentiment is from personal history.  My daughter grew out of the Princess phase and then began to think that all the sexy costumes were the prettiest.  I had a hard time trying to get her into something that would keep her warm for Trick or Treating.

If you are following Smeared Ink's 31 Days of Halloween blog hop, the side bar contains the blog roll. I am listed as "Lee" which might be good info to know if you get lost. Thanks for coming by and I will see you tomorrow!

Personal story that just happened.  You may skip ;)

My freshman boy is going to his first pep rally of high school.  He's not quite grasping the idea of forced school spirit.  He asked what would go on at the pep rally.  I told him there would be a speech about fun and safety, some cheerleaders and some shouting.  He responded with, "Maybe they just need to collect a certain number of souls like on Buffy the Vampire Slayer."  I responded with, "You can always hope."

Great sentiment.
Hope you son has a good time at the pep rally. Maybe he'll be excited about the next one - then you might need to start worrying.
thanks for sharing.

Ha ha ha! Love the journal page and the story about your son--he sounds a lot like my own dear boy. That is totally something he would have said about a pep rally! LOL
